Particular interest:
Pre-school and school aged children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental delays, complex communication needs, specific speech and language difficulties, and eating and swallowing difficulties. 
Candy is a bilingual speech pathologist (English and Chinese) with over 20 years experience primarily in the area of paediatrics in both the government and private early intervention systems. Candy specialises in the assessment and management of pre-school and primary school age children with a range of communication difficulties including:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder

  • Articulation disorder (unclear speech)

  • Developmental delays

  • Language disorder/delay - comprehension problems and expressive language difficulties

  • Stuttering/dysfluency

Availability: Monday & Thursday

Candy is a: 

  • Certified Practising Member of Speech Pathology Australia

  • FaHCSIA Helping Children with Autism (HCWA) Early Intervention Service Provider Panel Member

  • Medicare Allied Health Service Provider

Candy uses evidence based practice approaches and has completed the following certificate courses and/or training with:

  • The Basic Course on the Greenspan Floortime Approach

  • PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System)

  • The Hanen Program "It takes two to talk"

  • P.R.O.M.P.T. technique

  • The TEACCH Autism Programme

  • Talkabout Program (social skills training)
